Feeling angry at the world? Can’t get out of bed on your day off? I also experienced this as an RN in my career and now I’ve created a workshop to reframe what you think keeps you in cycles of burnout and what you can actually do about it within a different context than you’ve probably heard before. This will give you back control of your life plus nurses receive 1.5 CE’s for this 90 minute workshop.
The world can feel very chaotic & overwhelming. Maybe you’re chronically understaffed and under resourced at work then home life also feels too busy, you can’t escape the chaos & overwhelm. Focusing on what you can control in a sustainable manner can help lessen the feeling of chaos. In this workshop, we will deepen your understanding of how your nervous system dysregulation, learned emotional coping skills and your work environment & culture keeps you in cycles of burnout. Working in healthcare creates a unique type of stress & trauma exposure that contributes to high rates of burnout.
With this in mind, we will work on what tools and strategies will nourish and soothe your nervous system thereby creating space to not just breathe but to make changes that will give you back control over your life. This all builds resiliency and reduces your sense of chaos and overwhelm.
Nurses receive 1.5 CE’s given thru Debriefing the Front Lines.
This workshop is focused on everyone working in healthcare no matter which setting you work in including midwives, caregivers, doulas and all staff involved in caring for patients or loved ones. If you are outside the healthcare system, you may also find benefit as burnout is ubiquitous across all industries.
Cost: $75
Length: 90 minutes with time for Q & A afterwards
Facilitated by Doris Taylor, RN BSN, who has worked in healthcare for over 20 years. She started her career as an adult Med-Surg floor nurse and spent her final 13 years in a pediatric GI clinic. She resigned in 2021 due to severe burnout and now provides burnout resources to other healthcare professionals including personal coaching, workshop facilitation for in-person & virtual events and hosts monthly support groups. These are key resources that would have made positive, life changing impacts during her career and she's excited to share strategies with those still in the field.
